This is in my opinion, my best painting to date, so i've got a bit to say about it.

The story behind the picture:
A gift to may Long time friend and his wife who eariler this year. My friend keep telling my how he and his girlfriend at the time are looking for a decent sized picture of a Buddha Statue with no luck for the home. So I was like "You know what bro I'll do you a picture of Buddha."

So I had a task on my hands to:
A)Do the best painting to date, for a long time friend.
B)Make an image as symbolic as Buddha (always wanted to as am into the Philosophy and teachings).
C)Make it worthy of a canvas print!

The technical side:
Started off with painter 6.1 But then upgrade to Painter IX.5 towards the end due to BSOD (I'll explain THAT crap in my journal!)
That issue dragged the working time out alot longer than it should of been, though it did give me time to think on things I find difficult like backgrounds.
The statue was fairly straight forward (i've looked at many Buddha statues to get ideas as to how I could do my own), but the background, I really wanted to make decent,(looked at many cloud photos ).

Hope my friend is impressed enough to get a canvas print.
